Biography

Maryse Letarte is a Quebec singer-songwriter. She obtained a DEC in piano classical and a DEC in composition and arrangements at CÃ©gep Saint-Laurent before furthering her studies at the Grove School of Music in Los Angeles. Letarte's initial breakthrough came with the 1993 album Rita-Rita, released under the pseudonym Rita-Rita. In 2001, she returned to music with the album En dedans under her real name. Her career gained significant traction with the release of Des pas dans la neige in 2008 and Ni le feu, ni le vent in 2010, both of which were well-received by the public. Letarte has continued to release albums, including La Parade in 2015.
