Mary Lou Turner, born on June 13, 1947, is an American country music artist. She began her career as a regular performer on the Wheeling Jamboree in the early 1970s. Turner also released several solo singles, including "Workin' on My Mind" (1973) and "Come on Home" (1975). In 1974, she signed to replace Jan Howard as the girl singer on The Bill Anderson Show, both his touring show and syndicated TV series. Her notable albums include Sometimes (1976). Between 1976 and 1977, Turner recorded two duet albums with Bill Anderson, including Billy Boy & Mary Lou (1977), and charted four duets with him. One of their duets, "Sometimes", reached Number 1 in 1976.
