Biography

Martin Gallop, born in 1962 in Toronto, is a singer and songwriter who has lived in Germany since the 1980s. At age 12, he began writing his own songs and later traveled along the Canadian West Coast with an acoustic guitar before moving to Germany at 21. Gallop's first major album release was How Much Is The World? in 2001, followed by Strange Place Called Home in 2007 under EMI. His subsequent albums include Happiness in Progress (2008) and Most Beautiful Song (2013). Gallop gained recognition through collaborations with artists like Udo Lindenberg, Till Brönner, and Annett Louisan, notably touring with Louisan from 2007 to 2009. In 2015, he appeared on the Deutsche Welle series Insight Germany. His notable works also include composing the MRT Song in 2019.
