Mark Perry is a British singer known for his contributions to punk rock. In 1976, inspired by The Ramones, he launched the influential fanzine Sniffin' Glue (And Other Rock 'n' Roll Habits). This ceased when he formed Alternative TV with Alex Fergusson in 1977, releasing their debut single "Love Lies Limp" as a flexi disc. Perry also co-founded the label "Step Forward," which released early works by The Fall and Sham 69. In 1980, he released his solo album Snappy Turns, followed by singles such as "Whole World's Down On Me" and "You Cry Your Tears". Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Perry collaborated with various bands including The Good Missionaries, The Reflection, and Baby Ice Dog. Alternative TV occasionally reunited for performances in both the UK and US.
