Biography

Marisa Sannia was an Italian singer. She began her career in the mid-1960s after winning a talent contest and signing with Fonit Cetra, gaining early support from Sergio Endrigo. Her breakthrough came in 1968 at the Festival di Sanremo with "Casa bianca," performed as a duet with Ornella Vanoni. Following this success, she released her self-titled debut album and recorded notable songs such as "Una lacrima," "La compagnia," and "La mia terra." She also collaborated with Endrigo and appeared on popular Italian television programs including Canzonissima. Marisa Sannia died on April 14, 2008, at the age of 61. Her final album, Rosa De Papel, was released posthumously that year and was dedicated to the poetry of Federico García Lorca.
