Alberto Sordi, born Alberto Sordi on June 15, 1920, in Rome, Italy, was an actor and singer. He began his career as a child, performing in theater productions and singing in the choir of the Sixtine Chapel. In 1937, he started working as an extra at Cinecittà and soon became a voice actor for Oliver Hardy, Robert Mitchum, and Anthony Quinn. Sordi's acting career spanned over five decades, appearing in more than 150 films and television shows. He collaborated with Federico Fellini on notable films such as Die bittere Liebe (1952) and Die MüÃiggänger (1953). His role in Amore in Stockholm earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor â Motion Picture Musical or Comedy in 1964. Sordi passed away on February 24, 2003, leaving behind a significant legacy in Italian cinema and music.
