Biography

Marina Prior, born on October 18, 1963 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, is an Australian soprano and actress known for her career in musical theatre. Prior began singing lessons at 12 and started professionally in 1983 as "Mabel" in The Pirates of Penzance with the Victoria State Opera. Notable roles include "Guinevere" in Camelot, "Jellylorum" and "Griddlebone" in Cats, and "Christine Daaé" in the Australian premiere of The Phantom of the Opera. Her discography includes albums like Leading Lady (1991), Aspects of Andrew Lloyd Webber (1992), and Somewhere: The Songs of Sondheim and Bernstein (1994). Prior has collaborated with figures such as José Carreras.
