Biography

Marco Beasley, born Marco Beasley on February 26, 1957, in Naples, Italy, is an Italian tenor opera singer specializing in early Italian Baroque music. Growing up in Naples, he was exposed to traditional Neapolitan folk music and early music, discovering his vocal talent at a young age. In the early 1980s, Beasley studied performing arts at the University of Bologna, focusing on Renaissance and Baroque vocal music. Beasley's career took off when he co-founded Ensemble Accordone in 1984 with Stefano Rocco and Guido Morini, dedicated to performing early music. His discography includes notable albums such as Per Cantare E Sonare (1990) and Cantate Deo (A Due Tenori) (2013). Throughout his career, Beasley has collaborated with artists like Christina Pluhar and Ensemble L’Arpeggiata.
