Marcelo Rubio is a Venezuelan singer-songwriter whose emotive pop began surfacing on streaming platforms in 2023 with early singles such as âSi el amor es temporal,â âConversación con mi ex,â and âEl dÃa que vuelvas,â establishing a diaristic writing style anchored in melody and heartbreak. Momentum built through 2024 with stand-alone tracks including âPÃdeme a las 11:11,â âBesos desechables,â and the duet âX si acaso quieres regresarâ with Mariangela, the latter co-written with hitmaker Andy Clay. That September he issued his debut album Lo que escribà mientras no estabas :) on Sony Music Latin, a 12-song cycle presented as monthly âpagesâ that map a breakupâs arc; among its collaborations are âVas a volver?â with Puerto Rican singer ROBI and âPuede que esto no mejore :/â with fellow Venezuelan NOREH, each accompanied by official videos. In 2025, Marcelo Rubio pivoted to a more widescreen pop sound with a run of singles led by âLÃneas temporales,â a collaboration with Gus and Mazzarri that reached number 24 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart, followed by âSi no la vuelvo a verâ and â2 versos,â further consolidating his presence on Latin pop playlists.
