Biography

Marc Secara (born 20 February 1976 in Bad Harzburg, West Germany) is a German jazz vocalist. After forming a school band at 15, he studied saxophone at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg and voice at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, later attending Berklee on an IASJ scholarship. In 1998, he founded the Berlin Voices, releasing The Music of Billy Joel and About Christmas. His solo album You’re Everything (2008) and work with the Berlin Jazz Orchestra on Update (2004) marked early successes. In 2010, he staged Now and Forever with Bert Kaempfert music, and in 2018, he contributed to Origin Suite. He went on to release Songs of Berlin (2021) and Crosscurrent (2022).
