Marc Secara (born 20â¯Februaryâ¯1976 in Badâ¯Harzburg, West Germany) is a German jazz vocalist. After forming a school band at 15, he studied saxophone at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg and voice at the Hochschule für Musikâ¯Hannsâ¯Eisler in Berlin, later attending Berklee on an IASJ scholarship. In 1998, he founded the Berlinâ¯Voices, releasing Theâ¯Musicâ¯ofâ¯Billyâ¯Joel and Aboutâ¯Christmas. His solo album Youâreâ¯Everything (2008) and work with the Berlinâ¯Jazzâ¯Orchestra on Update (2004) marked early successes. In 2010, he staged Nowâ¯andâ¯Forever with Bertâ¯Kaempfert music, and in 2018, he contributed to Originâ¯Suite. He went on to release Songsâ¯ofâ¯Berlin (2021) and Crosscurrent (2022).
