Biography

Camille Bertault is a French vocalist who studied jazz music at the Conservatoire de Paris. Although she had released some YouTube clips, as well as an independently released LP, 'In Life', in 2016, her biggest claim to fame was her scat-sung, note-for-note version of John Coltrane's monumental saxophone hard bop solo from 'Giant Steps' which she released on YouTube in 2017. She followed this with an LP called 'Pas de Géant' ('No Giant') in 2018 in which she once again vocally reproduced but also covered other artists including French legends Serge Gainsbourg and Georges Brassens among many others.
