Biography
Born in the USA, Mapei moved between the USA and Sweden, where her stepfather is from. It was finally in Scandinavia that she made her musical debut with the EP The Cocoa Butter Diaries in 2009. After a failed album attempt with Justice and a featuring with Major Lazer, Mapei took a break from music to travel. His comeback in 2013 did not go unnoticed, as his song "Don't Wait" was noticed in the UK and the Netherlands. The track "Change" heralded the release of the 2014 album Hey Hey.
