Biography

José Manuel de Tena Tena, known as Manolo Tena, was a Spanish singer-songwriter. He formed his first notable group, Cucharada, in 1977, known for their fusion of rock and roll and theater. Tena later formed Alarma!!! in 1981, marking his breakthrough as a rock artist in Madrid's music scene. In 1988, he began his solo career with the album Tan Raro. Throughout his career, Tena composed for notable artists such as Miguel Ríos and Ana Belén. In 2015, he released Casualidades, just a year before his death on April 4, 2016.
