Biography

Singer and guitarist with the group Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), and principal composer of all their hits, Jeff Lynne (born in Birmingham, England, on December 30, 1947) turned to producing in 1983 for fellow musicians Dave Edmunds, Duane Eddy, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty and George Harrison. Joining The Travelling Wilburys adventure with the latter two and Bob Dylan, this passionate lover of The Beatles and 1960s pop was chosen to produce the two unreleased tracks on the Fab Four's Anthology , "Free As A Bird" and "Real Love", in 1995. In 2012, twenty-two years after his first solo album Armchair Theatre (1990), the follow-up Long Wave, made up of cover versions, was released. In 2017, the double live album Wembley or Bust was released under the name Jeff Lynne's ELO.
