Biography

Malcolm Vaughan, born Malcolm James Thomas on March 22, 1929, in Abercynon, South Wales, was a Welsh traditional pop singer. He began his career as a stage actor in the mid-1940s and gained recognition for his singing abilities. His breakthrough came in 1955 with "Ev'ry Day of My Life", which reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart. This success was followed by hits like "St. Therese of the Roses" (1956) and "My Special Angel" (1957). Vaughan also participated in the national preselection for the Eurovision Song Contest in 1960 with the song "Each Tomorrow". He collaborated with Kenneth Earle as a comedy double act and continued performing until his retirement in 1982. Vaughan passed away on February 9, 2010.
