Maj Britt Andersen, born November 15, 1956, in Ãstre Toten, Norway, is a Norwegian musician and actress. She released her debut album Et lite under in 1975 and participated in the Melodi Grand Prix 1978 with "Hør hva andre har fÃ¥tt til". Andersen was part of the soul band Chipahua with her sister Inger Lise Rypdal, where she met her future husband, Geir Holmsen. With Holmsen and writer Trond Brænne, she released several children's albums, including Folk er rare! in 1986, which won the Spellemannprisen for best children's album of the year. Throughout her career, Andersen continued to release notable albums such as Kjærtegn (1992) and Dørstokken heme (2004). In 2015, she won another Spellemannprisen for her album Væla omkring. Andersen also ventured into acting, appearing in children's theater productions and television programs.
