Magni Wentzel, born on June 28, 1945, in Oslo, Norway, was a Norwegian jazz musician known for her vocal and guitar skills. She began her career at age six with Totenlaget Barneteater in 1951 and released her debut jazz album That Old Feeling in 1959. Wentzel chose to study classical guitar abroad instead of attending the newly established Statens operahøgskole in Oslo. She played at Club 7 in Oslo with Geir Wentzel Band and collaborated extensively with various Oslo-based musicians, including Einar Iversen and Egil Kapstad. Notable albums include Magni Wentzel Plays (1969), Sofies Plass (1983), and Live (2010). Wentzel received the Gammleng-prisen in 1988 and the Buddyprisen in 1998 for her contributions to jazz music.
