Biography

Magic Sword is an American electronic trio from Boise, Idaho, that formed in 2013. The ensemble consists of three masked and cloaked members known as The Keeper (keyboards), The Seer (guitar), and The Weaver (drums), whose identities remain concealed during performances. The group's music and visual aesthetic are built around a fictional narrative of immortal beings linked to a magical sword. They released their debut studio album, Magic Sword Vol. 1, in 2013 on the label Tender Loving Empire, accompanied by a comic book of the same name. The band achieved wider prominence after their songs "In the Face of Evil" and "The Way Home" were featured in the video game Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number. Furthermore, "In the Face of Evil" was utilized in the official trailer for the 2017 film Thor: Ragnarok. Their subsequent discography includes the studio albums Endless (2020) and Badlands (2023), both released via Joyful Noise Recordings.
