Madeline Estelle Holste, born September 14, 2001 in Houston, Texas, is an American singer who began her musical journey after graduating high school, choosing songwriting at Berklee College of Music over a medical career. She first gained attention during the pandemic by posting on TikTok, leading to a deal with Warner Records. Her debut single "As a Child" was released on March 19, 2021. In April 2021 she released the EP Chapter 1: The Longing. The single "Haunted" followed on May 28, 2021, and in September 2021 she released the EP Chapter 2: The Shedding. The 2022 single "Mean!" achieved viral success on TikTok, amassing over 910,000 video creations and spawning a remix with Noah Kahan; it also marked her first live performance with The Aces. In 2023 she departed Warner Records, signed with independent status, and collaborated with executive producer Petro AP. Her 2025 single "Rabbit Hole" continued her independent trajectory.
