Biography
British singer-songwriter and influencer Robin Daniel Skinner, also known as Cavetown, was born in Oxford on December 15, 1998. He began publishing a series of videos on social media at the age of 14, in which he sang covers and his own songs, among other things. His first album Everything Is Made of Clouds is also released via social media. The album follow-up Cavetown (2015) becomes his official debut. With 16/04/16 (2016) and Lemon Boy (2018), Skinner continues to release music from the lofi rock and bedroom pop genres, which leads to ever greater success and finally to the signing of a major label deal in 2019. The single "Telescope" announces Cavetown's next album, which is released in 2020 under the title Sleepyhead and reaches number 52 in the UK charts. It also lands at number 16 in the Americana/Folk Albums. Cavetown followed up with another album, Man's Best Friend, in 2021. The album Worm Food follows a year later. After a short break, another studio album follows in early 2026 with Running With Scissors.
