Lyle Dean Workman, born on October 21, 1957, in the United States, is an American guitarist and composer. His music career began with his debut on Bourgeois Tagg's self-titled album in 1986. The band's second album, Yoyo, was released in 1987 and featured the single "I Don't Mind at All", which reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. Workman has since collaborated as a session and touring musician, contributing to albums by artists such as Sting, Michael Bublé, and Norah Jones. He released his first solo album Purple Passages in 1996, followed by Tabula Rasa in 2001, Harmonic Crusader in 2009, and Uncommon Measures in 2021. Workman is also known for his film compositions, including the soundtracks for Superbad, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, and Overboard. He has worked on TV shows like Love and Crashing, and collaborated with Frank Black on several albums.
