The German hip-hop group Lugatti & 9ine is a rap duo consisting of the rappers Lugatti and 9ine. Traya serves as the producer, creating the beats. All three rappers met while they were in school. Right from their first album 50999 (2017), they made a name for themselves in the German-language hip-hop scene. The title is derived from the ZIP code of Cologne-Sürth. They regularly hang out there at the Côte da Sürth,, a special spot on the banks of the Rhine. Their favorite spot also inspired Lugatti & 9ine in their search for a fitting name for their own record label, Kinder der Küste. With the single âSaltyâ , the group scored a hit on the scene. They followed up in 2019 with âFrisches auf dem Herdâ, from the album of the same name, and âKorn mit nichtsâ. Their songs combine humor with depth. As a result, Lugatti & 9ine collaborate with other artists from the scene, including Longus Mongus from BHZ on the song âSonnenuntergangâ (2019) and Funkvater Frank. The rapper provides the Cologne-based group with the beats for the EP Tempo (2020). With the album MKS 4.0 , they narrowly made it into the German charts for the first time in the fall of 2020. In 2021, the album So wie gehabt even reached No. 14 and also made it onto the Swiss charts. Later that same year, the trio released their seventh album, Shades. In 2022, Cansado, a solo album by Lugatti, was released. The album climbed to No. 8, making it into the German Top 10. A year later, another album, Bis Hierher (No. 12 in Germany), was released. In 2024, 9ine also released a solo album, Kompass. Later that year, the collaborative album Gesagt Getan is released. With it, Lugatti & 9ine reach No. 39 on the German charts. In early July 2026, another studio album, Mit der Concorde über den Atlantik, is released. The album climbs to No. 9 on the German charts.
