Biography
01099 is a hip-hop crew from Dresden-Neustadt, after whose zip code they are named. The collective consists of the rappers Gustav, Paul, Dani and Zachi. The four rappers have known each other since their school days. They released their first EP Skyr in 2019. With their debut album Morgensonne (2020), 01099 became an insider tip in the hip-hop scene. The single "Frisch" makes it into the German charts for the first time in March 2021 at number 78. Only a short time later, the song "Durstlöscher" reached number 17 in Germany and number 60 in Austria. The songs were taken from the EP Dachfenster, which climbed to number 9 in Germany. The remix of the song "1976" by rapper RIN also cracked the German top 20. As in 2020, 01099 released another Christmas song at the end of 2021. This is followed by a whole EP called Weihnachtslieder EP. They shoot the music video for "Weihnachtslied 2021" in the magnificent rooms of Albrechtsberg Palace in Dresden. The second studio album Altbau by 01099 follows in 2022, reaching number 7 in the German album charts. Together with rapper Cro, the single "Glücklich" reaches number 16 in Germany. In April 2023, 01099 returned with rapper Ski Aggu and the single "Anders" (number 9 in Germany). Another album, Blaue Stunden, follows in the fall. This is 01099's first number 1 success in the German charts. In Switzerland, the album climbed to number 6, in Austria to number 16. At the beginning of 2024, the band scored another top 10 hit with "Küssen". The song made it to number 2 in Germany, reached number 11 in Austria and number 20 in Switzerland. The album Kinder der Nacht was released in September of the same year. Another album, Orange, follows almost a year later. The rap crew also made it to the top of the charts in Germany and, for the first time, Austria.
