Luca Napolitano, born on May 5, 1986, in Avelino, Italy, is an Italian singer-songwriter. He rose to prominence by finishing third in the eighth edition of Amici di Maria De Filippi in 2008. Following his success on the show, he signed with Warner Music and released his debut EP Vai in 2009. The EP was certified gold and peaked at number 5 on the Italian singles chart, featuring successful singles such as "Vai" (number 9 Italy) and "Forse forse" (number 5 Italy). In October 2009, he released his first studio album, L'infinito, which reached number 16 on the Italian charts and was also certified gold. Napolitano received the "Wind Music Awards" in May 2010 for the sales of his debut record Vai.
