Los Texmaniacs, a conjunto band founded in 1997 by Max Baca in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is known for their traditional conjunto music. Max Baca, the group's leader, began his musical journey at age five, learning accordion from his father, Max Baca Sr., who played in his own band. At twelve, Baca formed Los Hermanos Baca with his brother Jimmy, marking their first significant step into the music industry. In 2010, Los Texmaniacs released Borders y Bailes, which won a Grammy Award for Best Tejano Album. The band has since released several albums including Americano Groove (2015) and Cruzando Borders (2018). Notable collaborations include work with Rick Trevino, Flaco Jimenez, Los Lobos, and King Montana, Max Baca's first cousin who contributed songwriting to the group.
