Biography

Lisa O'Neill, born on July, 7th 1982 in Ballyhaise, County Cavan, Ireland, is an Irish singer-songwriter. She moved to Dublin at age 18 to study music at Ballyfermot College and worked in the service industry while writing songs. Her debut album Lisa O' Neill Has an Album was released in 2009. In 2011, David Gray invited her as a support act on his tour of the United States and Canada. Her subsequent albums Same Cloth or Not (2013) and Heard a Long Gone Song (2018) were both nominated for the Choice Music Prize. In 2021, O'Neill gained significant attention when her cover of "All the Tired Horses" by Bob Dylan was featured in the final episode of Peaky Blinders. In 2023, All of This Chance is number 6 on the Irish charts, followed in November 2025 by the EP The Wind Doesn't Blow This Far Right.
