Biography
Lip Critic was an electropunk band formed in 2018 in Brooklyn, Newâ¯York, by Dannyâ¯Eberle, Bretâ¯Kraser, Connorâ¯Kleitz, and Ilanâ¯Natter. The group, named for its âDadaâesque nonsenseâ vibe, debuted with the EP Killâ¯Lipâ¯Critic in 2019 and followed with Lipâ¯Criticâ¯II in 2020. Signing to Partisan Records, they released their debut studio album Hexâ¯Dealer on 17â¯Mayâ¯2024 to critical acclaim and the single "Theâ¯Heart" on 16â¯Januaryâ¯2024. In 2026, after the departing of drummer Ilan Natter, replaced by Mikey Marinara, they issued their sophomore album Theftâ¯World, inspired by a fanâidentity mixâup; the band promoted it with shows in unconventional venues such as a laundromat, basement, and boxing ring.
