Lin Sheng Xiang, born on November 25, 1971, in Meinong, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter known for his Hakka compositions. During his college years at Tamkang University, he founded the Kuan Tsu Music Pit and served as guitarist and vocalist. After returning to Meinong, Lin Sheng Xiang formed Labor Exchange Band, though it disbanded in 2003. He then collaborated with Chung Yung Feng on lyrics and Japanese guitarist Ken Ohtake on music for his album 種樹 (Planting Trees) (2006). In 2017, he produced the movie soundtrack of The Great Buddha+, winning the Golden Horse Award for Best Original Film Song and the Golden Melody Award for Best Single Producer. Lin Sheng Xiang's notable albums include Growing Up Wild (2009) and I-Village (2013). His double album, Village Besieged, won the Golden Melody Award Jury Prize in 2016.
