Yu Phil Zhang Chang, known professionally as Phil Chang, was born on April 30, 1967, in Taiwan. He is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter and television presenter. By the time he graduated from Feng Chia University with a degree in financial services, Chang had already established himself as an accomplished folk singer, pianist, and guitarist. His first album, Walking the Wind, was released in 1992, followed by his breakthrough album, Well-intentioned, in 1993. In 1997, he married lyricist Hsiao Hui-wen. Chang's subsequent albums, including Sun and Moon (1998) and Rain Keeps Falling (1999), achieved significant success. He also ventured into television, co-hosting Happy Sunday in 2004 and presenting his own show, Why Men Do wrong, on TVBS-G starting April 30, 2007. Chang participated in the second season of I Am a Singer in 2014, reaching the finals and placing sixth overall.
