Biography

Liliane Louise Keuninckx, also known as Liliane Saint-Pierre, born on December 18, 1948, in Molenstede, Flemish Brabant, Belgium, is a pop singer. She began her career in the 1960s at age 13, releasing her first single "We gotta stop" in Dutch. Saint-Pierre's early success led to collaborations with French singer and producer Claude François, who added "Saint-Pierre" to her stage name for a more French sound. In 1987, Saint-Pierre represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest with "Soldiers of Love", finishing eleventh place with fifty-six points. Throughout her career, she has released numerous socially-engaged songs and made a successful comeback in 1996 with a fresh dance sound. Her hit "Ik wil alles met je doen" was a dance remake of Dusty Springfield's "In Private". Saint-Pierre also participated as a judge on the first season of the Belgian version of X-Factor.
