Lik is a Swedish death metal band from Stockholm, founded in 2014. The group consists of Tomas Ã
kvik (vocals, guitar), Niklas "Nille" Sandin (guitar), Joakim "Myre" Antman (bass) and Chris Barkensjö (drums). The band name "Lik" means "corpse" in Swedish and refers to the group's musical orientation. The debut release "Mass Funeral Evocation" was released in 2015 via War Anthem Records. The second album "Carnage" followed in 2018 , reaching number 78 in the German album charts. The third studio album "Misanthropic Breed " is released in 2020 and reaches number 39 in the German charts and number 24 in the Swedish charts. The work "Necro" is released on April 18, 2025 via Metal Blade Records. Lik's style is based on the classic Swedish death metal of the early 1990s and cites bands such as Dismember, Entombed and At The Gates as influences. The music is characterized by aggressive riffs, a dark atmosphere and a raw production. In 2021, the band was awarded the Swedish music prize P3 Guld in the "Hard Rock/Metal" category for their achievements.
