Liesa Van der Aa is a Belgian musician and actress born in 1986. She began playing the violin at age five and studied at the Herman Teirlinck Instituut, graduating in 2008. She performed as the frontwoman for the group Louisa's Daughter, with whom she released the recording Hemixem. Van der Aa released the debut extended play Louisaâs Bolero (2008) before issuing her solo debut studio album, Troops (2012). The record was produced by Boris Wilsdorf and featured the violin utilized as a percussion instrument. Her discography includes the studio recordings WOTH (2014) and Easy Alice (2020). As a composer, she provided the soundtracks for films including Cargo (2017) and All the Pretty Little Horses (2021). Her acting career includes roles in the television series En daarmee basta!
