Biography

Leyya is an Austrian electro pop duo from Eferding that moved to Vienna. They gained initial attention with their 2014 EP Drowning In Youth. Their debut album, Spanish Disco, was released in 2015 and received nominations for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award and the FM4 Award. Leyya won the FM4 Award at the Amadeus Austrian Music Awards in 2017 and released their second album, Sauna, in 2018, reaching number 12 on the Austrian Top 40 album charts. The duo received another Amadeus award in 2018 in the Alternative category. Following extensive touring, LÃ©yya announced an indefinite hiatus from live performances in the fall of 2021 to focus on creating music.
