Biography

Liaisons Dangereuses, a German new wave band, was formed in 1981 in Düsseldorf by Beate Bartel and Chrislo Haas. Before their formal debut, they collaborated as CHBB, releasing four untitled cassette tapes distinguished by cover colors. With the addition of Krishna Goineau on vocals, they released their self-titled album Liaisons Dangereuses in 1981 and the single "Los niños del parque", which became one of Germany's most successful underground singles. The track is notable for its distinctive bassline created with a Korg MS-20 synthesizer. The band's influence extended to genres like EBM and techno, often compared to that of Kraftwerk and Deutsch-Amerikanische Freundschaft. After disbanding in 1982, Bartel pursued projects such as Matador and KRACH, while Goineau joined various bands including Micro Chip League. Haas passed away in October 2004.
