Biography

Ladyhawk is a Canadian indie rock ensemble from Vancouver established in 2004. The group consists of the musicians Duffy Driediger, Darcy Hancock, Sean Hawryluk, and Ryan Peters. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by indie rock and alternative rock. Their recording career began with the eponymous studio recording Ladyhawk (2006) released on the label Jagjaguwar. The ensemble achieved professional recognition for the song “Dugout” (2006) and the song “My Old Jacknife” (2006). Their discography included the extended play Fight for Anarchy (2007) and the studio recording Shots (2008). The recording Shots achieved professional recognition for being recorded in an old barn in Kelowna and being accompanied by the documentary movie Let Me Be Fictional. Ladyhawk achieved professional recognition for the songs “Drunk Eyes” and “The Dugout” being featured in the movie The Thaw (2009). Their recording career included the studio recording No Can Do (2012) released on the label Triple Crown Audio. The ensemble became inactive in 2012 and resumed activity in 2014.
