La Mississippi Blues Band is an Argentine blues rock band from Florencio Varela, led by guitarist Ricardo Fabián Tapia. The group released Mbugi in 1993, selling 20,000 copies. Subsequent albums followed: Bagayo (1995), Classic (1996), Cara y Ceca (1997), Palacio de Pulgas (1999), the live album Yo Estuve Ahà (2000), Bit Hippie (2001), Buenos Aires Blues (2005), Amor y Paz (2006), Versiones 20 Añosâ¯+ (2009), Sietevidas (2010), Veinticinco Años (2014), Inoxidables (2015), Criollo (2017), and Reserva Especial 30â¯Años (2019). The band toured Argentina, Paraguay, Colombia, Uruguay, Brazil, and Spain, collaborating with Ricardo Iorio and Claudio Marciello, and performed at festivals including the 2008 Varela Rock.
