Biography

Los Espíritus, a rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina, formed in 2010. The group initially gained traction with their early releases, including the EP Hacele caso a tu espíritu and singles "El Gato" and "Lo echaron del bar", which became popular on Mexican radio stations. Their debut album, Los Espíritus, was released in 2013 and earned them the Revelación 2013 award from the supplement No de Página/12. The band's second album, Gratitud (2015), marked their international breakthrough, leading to performances in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, and major global music festivals. Subsequent albums included Agua Ardiente (2017) and Caldero (2019). In 2019, the band faced internal turmoil following allegations against lead singer Maxi Prietto, resulting in several members leaving. Despite these challenges, Los Espíritus continued with releases like Sancocho Stereo (2021) and La Montaña (2023). They have also performed at notable festivals such as Lollapalooza and Cosquín Rock.
