Biography

Kyoumi Nakagawa is an enka singer from Saitama Prefecture, who has gained notable recognition in various singing competitions, including on platforms like NHK's "Nodo Jiman", NTV's "Look Look Hello", and TV Saitama's Karaoke Ichiban. She debuted in 1992 with the song "Aishuu Yasha" under the label Nippon Crown. In the mid-90s, Nakagawa ventured into television, providing parody songs and narrations for Fuji TV’s shows like Tamori's Vocabulary Heaven and Shinji Tanimura's Golden Vocabulary Heaven, and she also appeared in a commercial for King's Fermented Black Garlic. Transitioning from Nippon Crown to Tokuma Japan Communications, her first release with the new label was the track "Otokobana"(2023). Besides her singing career, Nakagawa has been active as a radio personality on stations such as Katsushika FM, Smile FM, and CRT Tochigi Broadcasting. Her contributions to Enka music continue to resonate, with her recent release "Onna No Ruten"(2024) showcasing her enduring vocal prowess and emotional depth in the genre.
