Biography

Kozue Takemura, born August 8, 1978, in Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, is a prominent enka singer, known by her stage name. She first gained recognition by winning the championship title twice on NHK Nodo Jiman, a well-known Japanese singing contest show. Her talent further shone through as she conquered various karaoke contest programs across regional TV networks, such as ABC TV's The Enkame and KBS TV's Enka Dotcom. Her journey from local fame in Shiga to widespread recognition in the Kansai region caught the attention of industry professionals, leading to her debut with the single "Noto no Uminari" in April 2014 under Nippon Crown. Shortly after her debut, she made a notable appearance on NHK Kayo Concert expanding her presence in the music industry. One of her tracks "Onna Shamisen Nagarebushi"(2017) continues to showcase her deep roots in traditional Japanese music and her unique story, further solidifying her position in the Enka music scene.
