Biography

K-X-P, a Finnish electronic rock band from Helsinki, was formed in 2006 by Timo Kaukolampi, Tomi Leppänen, Anssi Nykänen, and Tuomo Puranen. Initially known as K-N-P, the name changed to K-X-P when Nykänen began playing with other artists. Their debut album, K-X-P, was released in 2010 and received favorable reviews from several publications. The group's second album, II, was released in 2013 under Melodic Records. In 2015 and 2016, K-X-P published their third album in two parts, III Part I and III Part II. In 2017, members Tuomo Puranen and Timo Kaukolampi composed the soundtrack for the film Euthanizer, winning the Jussi Award for Best Film Score. Their fourth album, IV, was released in 2019 under Svart Records.
