Biography
Kwes Darko (real name Kwesi DarkoâObiri) was born in London, England, and established himself as a record producer, songwriter, and electronic musician. His first breakthrough came in 2009 when he released the track "Space Ex" under the moniker Blue Daisy, featuring French singer LaNote and earning Pitchforkâs âBest New Trackâ accolade; the same year he issued the Black Acre EP. In September 2011 he released his debut album The Sunday Gift, receiving favorable reviews from Resident Advisor and Pitchfork Media. Kwes Darkoâs career progressed through collaborations with artists such as Slowthai, Sampa the Great, and Denzel Curry, and he signed to Young Songs, releasing the single "Altitude" in April 2026 and the album God of the Youth in May 2026.
