Biography

Kumpania Algazarra is a Portuguese folk band originating from Sintra, known for their unique blend of turbo-folk, ska, pop-rock, and roma music. The group began performing at street festivals, parks, and other local events, gaining popularity with their lively dance music inspired by Balkan brass bands and Romani music. Their breakthrough came with various television appearances, including live performances on RTP's first channel. In 2007, they collaborated with Blasted Mechanism for the album Kumpania Algazarra. Their subsequent albums include A Festa Continua (2013) and Acoustic Express (2015).
