Biography
Kinderzimmer Productions, a German rap group from Ulm, was formed in 1994. The band's name is a play on Boogie Down Productions, adapted to reflect the production location: Sascha Klammtâs childhood bedroom. Their debut album, Kinderzimmer Productions, was released in 1994 but quickly pulled due to unauthorized sampling from "Golden Brown" by The Stranglers. In 1998, they re-released it as Die Erste with a replacement track. Their second album, Im Auftrag ewiger Jugend und Glückseligkeit, was noted for its careful approach to sampling and received critical acclaim. In 1999, they signed with Epic Records for their major-label debut, Die hohe Kunst der tiefen Schläge. The group continued with albums like Wir sind da wo oben ist (2002) on Virgin Records and Irgendjemand muss doch (2004). They disbanded in November 2007 but reunited in 2019, releasing the album Todesverachtung to Go, which reached number 61 on the German charts.
