Biography
Born on 21 November 1979 in Seoul, South Korea, Kim Dong-wan is a multi-hyphenate star equally famed for his work as a singer, actor, and television personality. During the late 1990s, he cut his teeth as a singer in the boy band Shinhwa who debuted under SM Entertainment and became one of the longest-lasting boy bands in the history of K-pop. He released his first solo album in 2007, Kimdongwan Is, which claimed the number four spot in South Korea. A follow-up effort arrived in 2008, The Secret, which went to number two. He went on to release several singles and mini-albums, including 2020's top five offering ...LER while notching up appearances in musicals, films, and television dramas.
