Biography
Killdozer was an American noise-rock and post-hardcore band formed in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 1983 by brothers Bill Hobson and Dan Hobson with Michael Gerald, the group released its debut album Intellectuals Are the Shoeshine Boys of the Ruling Elite in 1984. This was followed by Snake Boy in 1985 and the EP Burl (1986). Subsequent releases included Little Baby Buntin' (1987), For Ladies Only (1989), Twelve Point Buck (1991), and Uncompromising War on Art Under the Dictatorship of the Proletariat (1994). Their final studio album God Hears the Pleas of the Innocent appeared in 1995 and the group disbanded in 1996. A live collection titled The Last Waltz was issued in 1997. Throughout their career, the band worked with producers Butch Vig and Steve Albini and toured with other Touch and Go Records artists.
