Born in Soisy-sous-Montmorency on February 19, 2004, rapper Kerchak grew up in Bois-Colombes in the Hauts-de-Seine department. He started out as a musician under the pseudonym Zolal, and attracted attention with a series of freestyles called Gorille, which racked up tens of thousands of views on social networks. Two years later, the masked rapper changed his name to Kerchak, in reference to the leader of the gorilla clan in Tarzan. At just 18, he was considered one of the main hopefuls of the current trend in France: Jersey drill, which originated in the UK. With the track "Sabor", he scored a major coup, considerably expanding his fan base on social networks and raising the profile of his fast, technical and rhythmic flow. At the end of 2022, he released his first project, Confiance, which immediately reached number 8 in the French charts thanks to its fourteen tracks, including duets with Favé ("Génération miracle"), Ziak ("Peur") and Bandmanrill ("Percer") . At the end of 2023, without any announcement, he released the EP En Attendant Saison 2, indicating the imminent release of an album. Indeed, in January 2024, Kerchak released the mixtape Saison 2 , featuring guests Dinos, Gambi, Houdi, RnBoi and Ziak. Recorded with the latter, the first single "T'aimerais" reached No. 26 on the SNEP chart, followed by "Ferrero" and "Saison 2". After a duet with RnBoi on "Mi-temps " (2024), the rapper released the track "Nirvana " (#76) in 2025, heralding the release of album 34 in early 2026, featuring contributions from L2B, Naza, Franklin, Himra, Jolagreen23 and ElGrandeToto.
