Kenny, a short-lived British glam rock band, came together in 1974. The group initially consisted of Ross Pringle on vocals, Yan Style on guitar, Chris Redburn on bass, Andy Walton on drums, and Chris Lacklison on piano. They began their career as The Chuff, supporting progressive rock bands like the Troggs, before garnering the attention of Bill Martin and Phil Coulter. Their breakthrough came with the single "The Bump", originally recorded by the Bay City Rollers, but re-recorded by Kenny with Barry Palmer providing vocals. Despite initial success, Ross Pringle was replaced by Rick Driscoll due to stylistic differences. In December 1974, they dropped into Top Of The Pops and reached number three in the charts with "The Bump". Throughout 1975, Kenny released several hit singles, including "Fancy Pants", "Baby I Love You OK!", and "Julie Anne". Their debut album, The Sound of Super K, was released in 1976, followed by Ricochet later that year. However, Ricochet saw limited success, and the band faced internal changes after the departure of Rick Driscoll and Chris Lacklison. In 1979, Kenny released their final single, a cover of "Reach Out (I'll Be There)", before calling it a day.
