Kenji Otsuki (born February 6, 1966, in Tokyo) is a male musician who has continued to lead the Japanese rock scene since the 1980s. As the vocalist of âKinniku ShÅjo-tai,â which he formed in 1982, he established a unique musical style that incorporated new wave, punk, and progressive rock. Since making his major-label debut in 1988 with the album *Buddha L* , he has garnered a fervent following. In 1990, he released *The Circus Troupe Returns to Panorama Island* , which burst with his unique worldview, and in 1994, he released the conceptual masterpiece *Reticulum Constellation Delusion* . Furthermore, he has stood out in diverse projects, including solo work and âTokusatsu,â and in 2021, under the name Okemis, he released the full-length album *Romance Gray* , presenting a mature, refined rock sound. Early in his solo career, on March 8, 1995, he released his landmark first solo album, *ONLY YOU* , a collection of covers of classic songs performed with deep respect, making his exceptional presence known to the music scene.
