English actress Keira Knightley has appeared in a wide range of TV dramas and films from her first on-screen appearance in 1993, with her major film breakthrough in 'Bend It Like Beckham' in 2002. Her first musical film appearance was as the lead character Gretta in American musical comedy drama 'Begin Again' in 2014 alongside actor Mark Ruffalo. She prepared for her role as a singer-songwriter by employing a vocal coach and learning to play the guitar. Although married to a musician, James Righton of Klaxons, Knightley confesses that she does not have a great love for music, however the film and the soundtrack did well with critics and consumers, with online streams in excess of 30 million for many of the album tracks, especially 'Lost Stars' (2014) which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. The album reached number one in the US Billboard Top Soundtracks Chart.
