Biography

Katie Von Schleicher, born in Pasadena, Maryland, is an American singer and songwriter based in Brooklyn, New York. She began her music career by signing with Ba Da Bing! Records in 2015 to release her debut mini-album Bleaksploitation. In 2017, Von Schleicher released her first full-length album, Shitty Hits, which received critical acclaim from outlets such as Pitchfork and PopMatters. The album was described as "a kaleidoscope in grayscale: creaky chamber-pop, dirge-driven doom-folk, hushed solo piano works." Von Schleicher is also known for her work with the band Wilder Maker, where she serves as the keyboardist and co-lead vocalist.
